Madheshi problem in Nepal is now well known to all. It is being coloured by communal politics and Madheshi's are further divided into Hindus and Muslims.
In Kapilvastu, unidentified persons murdered anti-maoist leader Mohit Khan on Sunday September 16, 2007. Following the murder angry protestors vandalized and torched scores of houses and vehicles in chandrauta, Krishnanagar and the district headquarters Taulihawa. One cop was among those who were killed. Over 12 houses in Devinagar were also torched by the protestors. Several days of curfew was imposed by the administrations at Kapilvastu, Butwal, Bhairahawa and even in Dang. Two mosques were also vandalized in Butwal.
